Our Puppy Cottage
A cozy place filled with fun, curated for our 5 + week old pups!
Our puppy "cottage" is called that simply because when we refinished and remodeled our only attached garage to have heat, house a grooming station, bring in adequate storage for all things puppy and most importantly provide a safe space for puppy curriculum and an avenue for safe introduction to potty training....we included some rustic elements that were inspired by my family's cabin in Northern Wisconsin (including some of the log walls that were being taken off during an expansion project). This area is provided to allow puppies an area that is safe to explore and get introduced to sights and sounds they will encounter in real life. Located right off our kitchen, the door between is most frequently wide open if anyone is hanging out in there for meal or play time.
It is an area we made sacred for them that allows them to grow, and allows for organization in our program. At night, the puppies retire back to the nursery area in our downstairs family room to catch some zzz's an even get familiar with crates.
