Let me first say, I can't believe I get the privilege to write this message.
Without going on into every detail, I am so happy (almost to tears) to share with you that Monday (May 22nd, 2023) we confirmed (via ultrasound) that Abby is officially expecting! We were quiet with this breeding, as we wanted to ensure that we had something more concrete to go off of before getting anybody's hopes up, including ours. Puppies are due to be born June 24. They would be ready to join their new homes at 8-10 weeks between August 19th-Sept 2nd, 2023.
The breeding took place when we were in the Minneapolis, MN area for a UKC conformation show with Harry. It just so happened that Abby's heat coincided with that trip. And that her peak (of progesterone) allowed us to do the breeding with Griffin, who is from Fargo, but was along at the show with his mom Sara. Between the staff at Veterinary Village, and Inver Grove Animal Hospital, we have very successfully created what I will consider to be the most perfect litter of Standard Poodles. Truly, it must have been meant to be!
Beyond Abby, Griffin is one of the Standard Poodles that led me to fall in love with the breed. If you are not aware, Griffin is Harry's grandfather. He's a UKC conformation championed beautiful silver brindle parti boy, and one of the calmest, easy-going boys with an unreal regal presence. I often like to say that Harry inherited his "gentleman genes" from Griffin.
Litter information is available on our website. We will not be taking any deposits until the puppies are born. But I would like to have a reserve list narrowed down prior to that time. Per usual I will be reserving one spot for ourselves in the case that we would like to keep one back. There are no guarantees, but the veterinarian was fairly confident that there were 6 (+\-) puppies brewing in mommy Abby's belly. I will be reaching out to applicants in our system.
